William "Sonny" Carl Simmons

October 1, 1937 - July 27, 2025

William Carl Simmons, better known as “SONNY” to his friends and loved ones passed from this life on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at his residence in Manchester, Tennessee at the age of 87 years.

A native of Cowan, Tennessee, is the son of the late B.B. and Delphie Driver Simmons. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, David, Gilford and Preston Simmons, sisters, Mary Alice Green, Evelyn Hicks, Dolos Bass, Hazel Berryhill, Della Ann Dotson, Jean Storey and Maxine Glascoe,

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, from the chapel of Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home in Tullahoma, Tennessee at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Tullahoma. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of service.

His survivors include his beloved wife of 70 years, Clara Dean Simmons, daughters, Carla Sue Simmons of Manchester, Tennessee, Chloe Frye of Manchester, Tennessee, son, Daryl Frye (Rebecca Dye) of Tullahoma, Tennessee, brother, Charles (Carol) Simmons of Manchester, Tennessee, grandchildren, Justin and Catherine, great grandchildren, Logan, Kaylyn, Morgan, Emma and Hailey.
