Pastor Jennings "Jinks" Partin

Pastor “Jinks” Jennings Frank Partin, age 87 of Cowan, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Highpoint Health Medical Center. He was born on December 19, 1937, in Cowan to the late Jacoby and Carrie (Finchum) Partin. At an early age, Jennings started pastoring with his brother in Estill Springs. His legacy of ministry continued until retiring in October of this year from Our Father’s House in Cowan after twenty-five years of service. Whether in church or out, his life’s mission was talking to his customers and spreading God’s word. When he was able, he enjoyed hunting rabbits and fishing, as well as selling produce. He had a great sense of humor and was quite the jokester. In addition to his parents, Jennings was preceded in death by his son, Frankie (Beverly) Partin; siblings, Anna Elizabeth Brewer, Doris Pender, Margaret Davis, Carlin Perry, Mary Partin, Coby Partin, Marlin Partin, Larry Partin, and Harry Partin. He is survived by his loving wife, Judie Partin; children, Kenneth (Janice) Partin and Tammy (Keith) Bellenger; step-children, Janice (Ray) Cox and Glen (Tina) Humphrey; grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Partin, Carrie (Matt) Jackson, Rob Bellenger, and Rachel Bellenger; step-grandchildren, Billy Gooch, Chris Gooch, and Gretta (Jesse) Sells; great-grandchildren, Olivia Partin, J.W. Partin, Hunter Jackson, and Abby (Jordan) Ashley; step-great-grandchildren, Makayla Sells and Dylan Sells; sister, Jane Edwards; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Merrell officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Garner Cemetery.
