William Manzelle “Train” Beasley, age 51 of Cowan, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at his residence. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Sewanee, Tennessee on March 13, 1974, and was a 1992 graduate of Franklin County High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. For the last eight years, Train had been employed as a long-haul truck driver. While he was on the road, he enjoyed meeting new people and going out to eat. When he was at home, he enjoyed watching trucker shows and documentaries. But most of all, he treasured his family and cherished the time spent with them. Train was intelligent with a fun-loving and caring nature. He would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. He is survived by his loving mother, Pamela Staten Taylor; father, William Lee (Carolyn) Laster; son, Hayden Isaac Sherman; sisters, Shannon (Rodney) James and Christina Beasley; brother, James (Khamla) Beasley; step-sister, Letrice (Ted) Kirby; nieces and nephews, Trevon Beasley, Andrecia Beasley, Amala Beasley, Amani Beasley, and Joshua Guaz; aunts, Sharon McCamey, and Bernadine (Charles) Ballard; uncles, James (Onita) Staten, Ronald (Janice) Staten, Kenneth (Bonita) Staten, Daryle (Peaches) Laster, and Wayne Laster; devoted friends, Colin Tomes and Jaquesta Creasman; and many devoted cousins, relatives, and friends. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Watson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be given to Franklin County Prevention Coalition.
