Wayne McGee

Wayne McGee, age 75 of Winchester TN, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Erlanger in Chattanooga TN. He was born on February 16, 1950, in Belvidere, TN, to the late Lawson and Fannie (Asher) McGee. Wayne was the owner and operator of McGee Large Equipment Repair. In his spare time, you could find him fishing, gardening or cheering on the Tennessee Vols. He was always ready to lend a hand even if it was a 2am random misdialed phone call. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Hubert McGee, Ed McGee, Ralph McGee, and Willard McGee; sisters, Vera Banson, Lucille Smith, and Anna Birdsong. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Kathryn McGee; son, Matt (Allison) McGee; grandson, Lawson McGee; sisters, Betty Shockley, Rita (Tommy) Langstan, Eva Snead, Peggy Kennedy, Gail Daniel, and Opal (Bob) Hartog; sister-in-law, Ophelia McGee; as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
