Tennie Mai Trice

September 6, 1939 - September 19, 2025

Tennie Mai Newsome Trice “MeMa,” age 86 of Newport, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025.

She was employed and had 23 years of service at Firestone Ace Products, Feed My Sheep, and Sunset Gap.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ruben Newsom and Lucille Reece Newsom; husband Clarence “Tancy” Trice, Jr.; son Terry Joe “Roma” Trice; and grandson John Eric Trice.

She leaves to cherish her memories, 3 daughters Wilma June Trice, Shirley Ann Wadley, and Thelma Sue Trice; son Bobby Clarence Trice; grandchildren Clint Austin (Katie) Trice, Jeffrey Curtus Trice, Jason Warren Allen, Domenick Jerome Allen, Vanessa Lisa Wadley, Joshua Jermaine Wadley, and Holly Cheyanne Trice. She also leaves 16 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, sister-in-law Thelma Trice, devoted close friend Deloris Stewart Robinson, and family and friends, too many to mention.

The family would like to thank each and every one for prayers, phone calls, and visits.

Her favorite verse, “The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want,” Psalm 23:1.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m., Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Manes Funeral Home and 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Lynchburg Funeral Home in Lynchburg, Tennessee. Funeral Service will be at 12 p.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Lynchburg Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Highview Cemetery in Lynchburg
