Ruth Anne Bowles

Ruth Anne Bowles of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed from this life on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at her residence at the age of 74 years.

A native of Millport, Alabama, she is the daughter of the late Harry D. and Virginia Leigh Moore Gartman. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Larry Bowles.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Ebenezer Cemetery in Millport, Alabama.

Ruth was a stay-at-home mom for most of her children’s lives. She loved her family and was especially over the moon with her three great granddaughters. She loved clocks of every kind and was a big collector of cast iron. Her cast iron collection was very extensive, and she loved collecting and restoring. She enjoyed sewing and quilting when she was able and was a huge Alabama football fan!

Her survivors include her son, Kevin Bowles and his wife Angelia, daughter, Sheila Merlo, brother, James Harry Gartman, sister, Kathy Elaine Honeycutt, five grandchildren, Derek, Kelsey, Krysten, Austin, and Gunnar. Ruth is also survived by three great grandchildren, Oaklynn, Emersyn and Laurel.
