Retha Dee Helms, age 80 of Fayetteville, Tennessee was born on July 20, 1944, in Jefferson Alabama. She passed this life on Sunday May 25, 2025, at the St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary IV (Smith) McNeese; husband, Larry Helms; daughter, Tammie Carter; daughter-in-law, Selina Kelley; sister-in-law, Linda McNeese; three sisters, Midgie Kelley, Sarah McNeese and Melinda Best; and a grandson, Mark Carter.

She is survived by her sons; Derial Kelley (Mary) of Belvidere, Tennessee and Randy Kelley of Fayetteville, Tennessee; daughter, Jeanie Price of Fayetteville, Tennessee and one brother, Mickey McNeese of Alabama, and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service at Lynchburg Funeral Home in Lynchburg, Tennessee, will be announced at a later date.
