Pauline Louise Schueler, age 97 of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Franklin Manor. She was born in Port Jervis, New York on November 9, 1927, the daughter of the late John P. and Dorothy (Cole) Kokolias. Pauline graduated from Bloomsburg State Teachers College in 1949 with a B.S. Degree in Business Education and taught at high schools in Waverly, New York, and Matamoras, Pennsylvania. She then completed graduate courses through Penn State and East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania to become certified in elementary education and taught in the elementary and middle schools for the Delaware Valley School District in Milford, Pennsylvania. Pauline married Donald F. Schueler in 1955 in Matamoras, Pennsylvania. In 1993, Pauline and Donald moved to Winchester, Tennessee. She was an active member of the First United Church UCC in Belvidere. She served on the Consistory and was the Treasurer of the Women’s Guild for over twenty years. She also enjoyed mission work. Pauline and her husband were sponsors of Children for World Vision since 1972. She was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels Program for twenty years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Fredrick Schueler; sister, Louise Snyder; and granddaughter, Bonnie Lynn Schueler. Pauline is survived by her loving children, Donald John (Darlene) Schueler, Carol (Douglas) Brown, and Dawn (Randy) Goodwin; grandchildren, Jacqueline (Steven) Heitlinger, Jennifer Duxbury, Douglas Brown, Michelle (Anne) Brown, Kevin (Lorann) Brown, and Alex Goodwin; and eleven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1-3pm on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Cynthia Jolley Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Belvidere Cemetery with Doug Brown, Douglas Brown, Kevin Brown, Madden Duxbury, Randy Goodwin, and Alex Goodwin serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
