Patricia Ann Hickman went to be with God early in the morning on October 25, 2025, after a yearlong struggle with heart disease. Patty was dearly loved by her husband of nearly 58 years, William Hickman of Winchester, TN, and their three daughters: Julie Stajduhar- Winchester, TN, Lori Kelly- Johnston, IA, Shelly Austin- New Smyrna Beach, FL. Patty cherished her girls who blessed the Hickman’s with 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Patty is survived by her sister, Barbra Pullen, of Walton, IN as well as scores of friends and relatives throughout the United States. She was preceded in death by her parents David (Dub)& Hazel Carson, as well as her sister, Beverly Dilling, all of Logansport, IN.

Patty was born Jan 10, 1946, in Logansport, IN. She married Bill Hickman on Jan 27th, 1968. They raised their daughters as they moved from Indiana to Virginia, Maryland, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, California, Florida, and back to Tennessee for retirement.

Patty and Bill were long-standing members of the United Methodist Church and more recently, of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Patty was active in a variety of support organizations, church and school programs. She was a talented card maker and those who were lucky enough to receive one of her master pieces often kept them to display in their home as decoration. She was a fierce card player and active in several Bridge groups. Patty was always ready to share a cup of coffee with friends and if she could beat you at a game of cards at the same time, even better.

Patty and Bill enjoyed traveling across the United Stated, Europe and the Caribbean. Her favorite trips were exploring Yellowstone and a river cruise through Europe.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 10:00am – 11:00am at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service following at 11:00am with Rev. Dr. Micheal Clark officiating.
