Obituary for Charles William Martin Jr.

May 20, 1949 - March 12, 2025

Charles W. Martin Jr. of Manchester, Tennessee, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, to be with his heavenly father at the age of 75.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 12:00 pm from the Chapel at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home in Tullahoma, Tennessee. In Charles’s honor Brother Ray Carter will officiate the service. Visitation with the Family will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 10:00 until time of service. Burial will follow at Blanton’s Chapel Cemetery in Manchester.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charles W. Martin Sr. and Dorothy Sutherland. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Dewayne Duke, daughter Kim Pennington, brothers Tony Martin, Albert Martin, and great-grandchildren Zoe Bumpus and Jaxson Reed.

Charles is survived by his loving blended family. Wife Annie Ruh Martin of 44 years. Daughters Dewana Jernigan (Mark), Maria Carrick (Lee), son Shane Martin, Grandchildren, Miranda Bumpus (Chelsea), Michael Bumpus (Andrea), Heather Myers, Hannah Floyd, Tyler Stafford (Melanie), Michael Duke (Jessica), Franchesca Turner (Bryan), Matt Jernigan, Atheana Reed (CW).

Great-grandchildren Tara, Tevin, Tray, Kandace, Jorgia, Kameron, Alexis, Landon, Carolina, Haiden, Konor, Arya, Phylicia, Marley, Kaiden, Lucian, Landon, Hunter, Sadie, Gracie, Spencer, Avan, Olivia, Hattie Jane, Everly, Shylee, John, and brothers Mike Martin, Danny Martin, sisters Barbara Taylor, Nellie Teal, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Charles enjoyed his family, fishing, motorcycles and watching his beloved Crimson Tide.
