Myrna Faye Brewer

Myrna Faye Brewer, age 78 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Vanderbilt-Harton Hospital in Tullahoma. A native of Franklin County, she was born on October 21, 1946, to the late John A. and Myrna B. (Morris) Hoover. Before her retirement, she had been employed as a seamstress at Tennessee Apparel and Lanier Clothing. In her leisure time, she enjoyed baking and sewing, as well as going line and square dancing with her husband. But most of all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren. An affectionate and loving mother to her family, as well as a loving and faithful wife to her husband of sixty years, Harvey. Myrna will be remembered for her wonderful personality, as well as being a social butterfly. She was a dedicated member of Winchester First Baptist Church, where she had kept the children in the nursery for forty-five years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Brenda Sons and Linda Partin; and brother, Johnny Hoover. Myrna is survived by her loving and devoted husband of sixty years, Harvey Brewer; children, Timothy (Missy) Brewer, Milton “Chris” Brewer, and Tanya (Greg) Butler; grandchildren, Kyle (Ashley) Brewer, Brandon Brewer, Austin C. Brewer, Carisa Brewer (Merlin Schwartz), and Aiden Butler; great-grandchildren, Madison Brewer and Aries Patterson; sister, Wanda Hester; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 24, 2025, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Green Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Winchester First Baptist Church.
