Molly Louise Garner

Molly Louise Garner, age 84 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Highpoint Medical Center. A native of Franklin County, she was born in the Sinking Cove Community on January 20, 1941, to the late Elmer and Bettie (Sells) Morris Sr. Before her retirement, Molly owned and operated a retail business. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her flowers and shopping, as well as traveling and watching CNN on television. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ruth (Billy) Stewart, Lynn Wiseman, and James Phillip Morris. Molly is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, James Andrew “Corky” Garner; brother, Elmer (Connie) Morris Jr; son, Chris (Tina) Garner; granddaughters, Kayla (CJ) Newton, and Courtney (Mark Anthony) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Mazelyn Johnson, Maverick Johnson, Madelyn Johnson, and Mallory Newton; brother-in-law, Danny Wiseman; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 19, 2025, with Bro. Walter Rayburn officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Franklin County Christian Memorial Foundation c/o Winchester Church of Christ.
