John "Phillip" Miller

John “Phillip” Miller, age 60, of Belvidere, Tennessee, passed away on July 14, 2025, at St. Thomas Rutherford. He was born in Harvey, IL, on February 22, 1965, to the late Elbert and Wilma (Steele) Miller. Phillip was an avid fisherman, often finding peace and joy on quiet lakes and rivers. He enjoyed camping and loved listening to his favorite tunes that he enjoyed sharing with friends and family. A dedicated shopper at flea markets, Phillip appreciated the charm of unique treasures and the stories behind each item. Phillip’s faith was an important part of his life, guiding him with love and compassion. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by; grandparents, Elbert, Sr. and Elsie Miller, and Oplia and Hub Steele. He is survived by his mother, Wilma Steele Miller; children, Brittany (Jeff) Savard, Cassie (Michael) George, Katlyn Miller; bonus daughter, Brooklyn (Austin) Kugal; grandchildren, Brody, Brentley, Brexton George, and baby girl Savard on the way; bonus grandchild, Denver Kugal ;siblings, Randy Miller, Dianne Miller, Fred Miller; mother of his children, Christine Stewart; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. Interment to immediately follow in Keith Springs Cemetery.
