John Lewis "Bubba" Farris, Jr., age 53 of Cowan, TN, departed this life suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. He was born on August 16, 1972, to the late John Lewis "Johnny" Farris, Sr. and Willie Mae "Moo" Tate Farris. Bubba was a 1991 graduate of Franklin County High School. He was an avid fan of WWE wrestling, so much so he got his cousins and great nephew Kingston watching as well. When he was younger, he loved math, liked to cook, talk your head off, and cut up with family. One of his all-time favorite things to do would be to reminisce about "the good ole days"! When he was well, he also liked to go shopping with his sister and nieces in Huntsville, AL.
Bubba is preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents: Homer and Lillie Mable Stovall Farris of Winchester, TN and maternal grandparents: Ben and Tiny J. Sisk Tate of Huntland, TN.
He is survived by his mother, Willie Mae Farris; two sisters: Nadine (Johnny) James of Winchester, TN and Elaine "Poochie" (James) Pruett of Cowan, TN. Three nieces: Destinee "Shaubs" Trimew of Decherd, TN, Raven Pruett of Cowan, TN, and Alexis Pruett of Chattanooga, TN. Two nephews: Justin (Shanden) Pruett and Julian (Genine) Pruett both of Nashville, TN. Four great nephews Kingston Trimew, Jayden Pruett, Tahj Wright, and Tylan Vaughn. Two great nieces: Avianna Pruett and Gianna Stevenson. Aunts: Addie B. Scott, Jennifer Gray of Cowan, TN and Lula (John"Fuzzy") Wooten and Linda Farris of Winchester, TN. Uncles: Thurman "TC" (Nancy) Farris, Aaron (Patricia) Farris, Robert Farris, Leroy Gray all of Winchester, TN and Willie Lee Montague of New Market, AL; nephew-pup, Rocco; and a host of cousins.
