James Sterline Wilkinson

December 22, 1952 - July 23, 2025

James Sterline Wilkinson, age 72 of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Winchester on December 22, 1952, to the late James Andrew and Thelma Elizabeth (Potts) Wilkinson. Sterline was employed at the Winchester Hat Factory before working in metal fabrication and retiring from the Wilton Corporation. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting deer and woodworking, as well as riding horses and motorcycles. His fun loving and easy-going personality will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Sterline was of the Church of Christ faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, David Brown Jr. Sterline is survived by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Gwynn Wilkinson; daughter, Mitzi Brown; and grandsons, James Bradley Brown and Jordon Allen Brown. Visitation will be from 11am-2pm on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
