Isaiah Jones Jr. age 69 was born in San Diego, California February 14,1956 to the late Isaiah Jones Sr. And Robbie M. Jones Patton. Isaiah graduated from Franklin County High School in 1974. In his youth he was a standout athlete, playing baseball, basketball, and football.


He was united in marriage to Gloria Smith Jones in 1977. To their union, two children were born Alysia Dione Jones and the late Isaiah Jones III. Isaiah was a United States Army Veteran. He was an award-winning medalist in the Army for his boxing skills. Known to friends and family as Ike and Papa Jones. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather, and a cherished friend to many. Isaiah had a passion for watching all sports, news, and reality TV. He was well known for his sense of humor, and generosity. If you knew him, you would love him.


After excepting Christ as his Savior, he became a member of First Baptist Missionary Church in Winchester, Tn. He was preceded in death by his son, Isaiah Jones III and his father, Isaiah Jones Sr.; stepfather, David Patton Jr.; sisters, Beverly Gail Jones and Vickie L. Jones Johnson; maternal grandparents, Lewis and Ella Taylor; paternal grandparents, Hoyte and Georgia Mae Jones; in-laws, Albert and Mabeline Smith; and a host of many loving Aunts, and Uncles. He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife of fifty years, Gloria Jones of Winchester, TN; daughter, Alysia D. Jones of Winchester, TN; granddaughter, Monet Laneice Jones of Nashville, TN; grandson, Cayden Anais Jones of Winchester, TN; mother, Robbie Patton of Sewanee, TN; sister, Robbie Fontaine Carson Sewanee, TN. They were the apple of his eye.


He also leaves to cherish his memories, aunts, Barbara Modena of California, Lois Adams, and Vereda Ann Taylor both of Sewanee, TN, Jervie (Jesse) Smedley of Georgia, Renee (Kenneth) Allmon of Knoxville; uncle Ahmed Adams of Georgia; sister-in-law, Linda Fuqua of Winchester, TN; brother-in-law, Douglas (Sequetia) Smith of Winchester, TN; and a host of nieces , nephews, and cousins. He also leaves to cherish his memories, two very special devoted friends, Charles Ballard Sr. and Charles Rowe of both Winchester, TN. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Watson Funeral Home with funeral service following at 1:00pm from the Roy B. Watson Chapel.
