Earl Hobert Baker, age 85 of Estill Springs, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Earl was born on March 12, 1940, in Bryant, Alabama, to the late Hobert Clarence and Ruby Ella (Bryant) Baker. He was a member of the Local 72 Union Plumbers and Pipefitters for fifty-five years. From an early age, his unwavering faith was a guiding force, leading his family toward Christ, and inspired him to help establish Mableton Pentecostal Church in Mableton, Georgia. His service to the Lord continued as a member of the FAC of Winchester. Earl was always looking for his next adventure with his family, whether it was on the next cruise or going camping. In the last few years, his favorite pastime was spent outdoors sitting on the porch, riding his scooter, birdwatching, or feeding deer. He will be remembered by everyone who knew him as having a great sense of humor and always playing practical jokes. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Ella Frazier; grandson, Justin Baker; great-granddaughter, Kylie Grace Byrd; sisters, Shirley Ellis and Roberta Evers; and brothers, Robert Baker, Delmer Baker, Houston Baker, and Troy Baker. Earl is survived by his loving wife of almost sixty-seven years, Anne Baker; children, Ronny (Joyce) Baker, Eric (Robin) Baker, Patty (Steve) Wilson, and Melanie (Earnie) Colvin; son-in-law, Tony Frazier, fourteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, with three more on the expected by December; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at FAC of Winchester with a funeral service following at 1:00 pm with Bro. Jordan Atkisson officiating. Interment will follow in Watson Memorial Park with family serving as pallbearers. Watson Funeral Home 405 Sharp Springs Road, Winchester, TN 37398 (931)967-2345, www.watsonfhtn.com
