Danny Allen McCoy

Danny Allen McCoy, age 64 of Decherd, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Tri-Star Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. He was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi, on August 14, 1961, to the late Kenneth McCoy and Helen (White) McCoy Hilderbrand. Danny served his country in the United States Army. He continued a life of service, working until his retirement as a police officer. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, and bull riding, as well as watching western movies. In addition to his father, Danny was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Gray. He is survived by his loving wife of Nadine McCoy of Decherd; daughters, Katherine (Michael) McCoy of Germany and Crystal (Kenneth) Currier of Murfreesboro; son, Roy (Tracey) McCoy of Slidell, Louisiana; mother, Helen McCoy Hildebrand of Tinsley, Mississippi; step-children, Brandon (Brittany) Luker of Smyrna, Lisa Caston of Acworth, Georgia, and Casey Caston of Greeneville, Mississippi; grandchildren, Katelynn Street, Christopher McGirt, Princeton Snipe, William Snipe, Lucy Luker, and Jaxson Luker; and sisters, Brenda (Joe) White and Donna (Kenneth) Hall, both of Mississippi. No formal services are planned.
