Charles N. Holcomb

September 17, 1937  -  October 23, 2025

Charles N. Holcomb, age 88 of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Hospice of Chattanooga. He was born in Resaca, Georgia on September 17, 1937, to the late Floyd Henry and Winnie Ela (Blankenship) Holcomb. Charles first retired as a pipe-fitter welder and retired for a second time as home builder. A man of God, Charles enjoyed singing gospel music, as well as bluegrass music. His most precious moments were spent with his beloved family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Mary Ellen Stancil Holcomb; wife, Linda Sue Ikard Holcomb; and sister, Joanne Adams of Gray, Georgia. Charles is survived by his loving children, Cynthia N. (Danny) Brown, and Charles N. “Chuck” (Amy) Holcomb; sister, Judy (J.M.) Williams; grandchildren, Andy (Katrina) Brown, Chris (Michaela) Brown, Michael Brown, Becky Brown, Charles Nathan Holcomb III, Maegan S. (Nick) Hall, Michael David Holcomb, Alivia L. Holcomb, Hannah K. Holcomb, and Kiko Vasilev; great-granddaughter, Aubree Jo Holcomb; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 11:00am-2:00pm on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service following from the chapel at 2:00pm.
