Charles Joe Rogers passed away in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 20, 2025,
proud to have reached the age of 90.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home in Tullahoma, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in his name to uspainfoundation.org/donate.
Born and raised in Lois, Tennessee, Charles grew up working alongside his family on
their farm, learning the values of hard work and perseverance, and developing a love of
music. After graduating from Tennessee Tech, he served his country as a Private in the
Army and then began a career with Chrysler Financial.
Shortly after starting his career, Charles married and began a family. The Rogers family
later moved to Michigan and then embarked on an unforgettable chapter abroad in
Saudi Arabia, where Charles embraced a life full of unique experiences and cultural
explorations. His time overseas left him with stories that he would later love to share.
Upon returning to the U.S., Charles continued his career in Human Resources, with a
second stint in Saudi Arabia.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Glendon and Georgia (Moorehead)
Rogers, and his sisters, Dorothy Jean Rogers and Nancy (Rogers) George, and his wife
Elaine Blevins Rogers.
He is survived by his children: Michael (Karen) Rogers of Oxford, GA; Julie (Dale)
Wilson of Eaton, CO; and Janelle (Karl) Dufer of Lake Zurich, IL; his brother Jerry
(Brenda) Rogers of Tullahoma, TN; his stepson Bill (Margaret) Vaughan of Archer Lodge,
NC; eight grandchildren: Taylor Wilson, Wade Wilson, Yu-Mei Rogers, Emma Dufer,
William Dufer, Audrey Vaughan, Iain Vaughan, and Tabitha Vaughan; and three
great-grandchildren: Macie Wilson, Collin Wilson, and Cale Wilson.
In his later years, Charles found immense joy in storytelling, spending time with close
friends, attending tailgate parties, and even a brief moment as a "Movie Star." Above all,
he cherished his family—never missing an opportunity to express how proud he was of
each one of them. His unwavering support and wisdom made him a strong and loving
role model, whose legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Charles Joe Rogers will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved.
