Charles B. Starnes, age 72 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025, at St. Thomas Rutherford Medical Center in Murfreesboro. A native of Franklin County, he was born on May 14, 1953, in Winchester to the late Terry and Lona (Duke) Starnes. A proud veteran, Charles served his country in the United States Marines. Until his retirement, he was a self-employed electrician and had retired from AEDC. An avid outdoorsman, Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. He loved life, whether it was dancing or socializing with friends and family. His outgoing, charismatic nature and generous soul combined with his contagious laugh will be missed by all that knew and loved him. A true Christian man, he was a member of First Baptist Church in Estill Springs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Tony Moorehead and Dwayne Brown. Charles is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Jody Starnes; children, Kevin (Bridget) Starnes and Tracy (John) Edwards; grandchildren, Mason Starnes, Micah Starnes, Kai Starnes, Tripp Edwards, Jack Edwards; sisters, Pam Arnold and Teresa Gifford; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Watson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 5, 2025, in the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Watson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, P.O.
