Barbara Ann Hawkersmith

July 18, 1944  -  September 12, 2025

Barbara Ann Davis Hawkersmith, age 81, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, and formerly of Winchester, passed away peacefully at her home on September 12, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer, with her two loving daughters by her side.

Born on July 7, 1944, in Winchester, Barbara was the daughter of the late Ivey and Nellie Davis. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Hawkersmith. Together, Barbara and Wayne built a legacy in their community as the proud owners and operators of Hawk’s Steak House in Winchester, where they welcomed friends and neighbors for over 30 years.

After moving to Mt. Juliet, Barbara became an active member of the Del Webb community, where she formed many cherished friendships. She was known for her warmth, kindness, and love of family, qualities that touched everyone who knew her.

Barbara leaves behind her daughters, Holly Hawkersmith Madrigal and Lisa Hawkersmith Allen (Darrell), along with four treasured grandchildren, Payton Madrigal, Davis Madrigal, Brooke Allen, and Hunter Allen. Her family was the joy of her life, and her legacy of love will live on through them.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester.

Barbara was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the blessing of knowing her.
