William T. Murry

William T. Murry of Manchester, Tennessee passed from this life on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at his residence in Manchester. A native of Scottsboro, Alabama, he is the son of the late Gordon and Ila Davis Murry. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Dennis Murry Sr., brothers, Arthur and J. G. Murry, sisters, Odessa and Julie Murry and two grandsons, Jesse Murry and John Bass.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home in Tullahoma, Tennessee with Stephen Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.

William was a Supervisor for Carrier before retirement and spent many years preaching the gospel beginning in 1971. He was a very loving, kind and caring person and he was happiest when he was working for the Lord. He loved his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed racing homing pigeons and fly fishing. He will be missed but always remembered for years to come.

His survivors include his wife of 67 years, Carol Stapler Murry of Manchester, Tennessee, daughters, Connie (Jay) Morgan of Enterprise, Alabama, Kelly Bass of Decherd, Tennessee, sister, Gladys Webb of Pelham, Tennessee, grandchildren, Dennis Murry Jr., Nathanael Morgan, Joshua Morgan and Ashley Bass-Ramsey, great grandchildren, Madison Murry-Honea, Dalton Morgan, Donavon Morgan, Jedidiah Morgan, Isaiah Morgan, William Murry, Felicity Ramsey, Alyssia Bass, Atticus Powell, Cayson Murry and Londyn Winton. He is also survived by 1 great great grandchild, Able Honea.
