Richard William Frye Jr, age 59 of Estill Springs, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Highpoint Health Medical Center in Winchester. He was born on November 1, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Richard William and Patricia Ann (Kolakowski) Frye Sr. An avid sports fan, Richard enjoyed cheering for the Boston Red Sox, as well as fishing and hunting. But most of all, he loved spending time with his beloved family, especially his precious grandchildren. His loving and caring nature along with his sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Richard was of the Catholic faith. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Evelyn Louise Rose Frye; children, Ashley Renee Maldonado, and David Alan Maldonado; grandchildren, Thomas Maldonado, Leah Lynn Maldonado, Ceasar Luka Maldonado, and Sylas Cruz Maldonado; siblings, Donny Alan (Neely) Frye, Dory Ann (Edmund Michael) Szudy; brother-in-law, Frank Rose; and nieces and nephews, Jack Frye, Emma Frye, and Maggie Frye.
