Terry LeRoy Parish, age 71 of Decherd, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at his residence. He was born on April 6, 1954, in Lansing, Michigan to the late Frank H. and Ida Mae (Dean) Parish. A proud veteran of the United States Army, Terry enjoyed his time in the military and cherished the friendships he met then He had many skills in his life, especially working on his beloved farm. He met the love of his life Joyce in 1996 and after dating for two years they married on March 29, 1998. For many years, he worked at an excavating company. Until his retirement, Terry owned and operated Scotties Small Engine Repair in Decherd where he was a skilled mechanic and repaired semi’s, cars, and trucks. In addition to his professional career, he had many skills in his life, his favorite being working on his beloved farm. An avid outdoorsman, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as going to flea markets and auctions. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Frank Parish Jr and Donna Steinke. Terry is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; siblings, Larry Parish, Jim (Corene) Parish, and Betty Ann (Kenny) Stenger, all of Michigan; stepchildren, Walt Fuller of Manchester and Charlotte Mich Shannon (Mark) Broskey; and many nieces and nephews living in Michigan. Visitation will be from 4-6pm on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 6:00pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Thomas officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Franklin Memorial Gardens with military honors bestowed.
