Norma Rhea Stephens, age 85, of Decherd, Tennessee, passed away on January 1, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 24, 1940, in Sherwood, Tennessee, to the late Floyd and Evelyn (Jackson) Miller. Norma was a faithful member of the Sherwood Church of Christ. She dedicated more than 38 years of service to the Franklin County School System, where she touched the lives of countless students and coworkers through her kindness and dedication. In her free time, Norma found great joy in cooking, baking, and cake decorating. She especially cherished spending time with her family and friends and was known for sharing stories with her grandchildren, creating memories they will forever hold close to their hearts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Stephens; her son, Brian Stephens; and her brother, Herman Miller. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Rodney) Allred and Stacie (Myron) Bates; sisters, Jean (Sam) Finney, Kathy (Gordon) Matthews, and Dana (Eric) Jayne; brother, Troy Miller; grandchildren, Labron (Jolene) Jackson, Michael Jackson, Brandi Curtis, Bethany (Chase) Moffitt, Brandon (Destiny) Stephens, Kayla Bates Doney, and Kasey (Nathan) Benson; eighteen great-grandchildren, several special nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel.
