Jackie Don Cowan, age 78 of Winchester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at his residence. Jackie was born on November 29, 1946, in Shawnee, OK, to the late Kenneth G. Cowan and Rosanne Greenlee Abney. He retired from Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where he worked as a surgical nurse. In his spare time, Jackie sang tenor in the Oklahoma City Chorus; enjoyed playing the piano and playing on his computer. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandmother, Mattie Greenlee and brothers, Johnny Mack Cowan and Clyde “Bub” Cowan. Jackie is survived by his partner of twenty-five years, Mark Hughes; sons, Wesley Johnson and Shane Johnson; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jackie requested no formal services. Memorial donations may be sent to the Winchester Civic Choir 114 Dogwood Lane, Winchester, TN 37398.
