Winston Brooks to Step Down as Executive Director of the Tullahoma Area Economic Development Corporation

TULLAHOMA, Tenn. – The Tullahoma Area Economic Development Corporation (TAEDC) announces that Executive Director Winston Brooks will be stepping down from his position effective June 12, 2025.

Brooks has served the TAEDC and the Tullahoma community with distinction, providing dedicated leadership in advancing economic development initiatives, fostering business growth, and supporting the strategic vision of the city. “Winston has been a steady force in the many economic development projects the city has experienced over the past several years,” comments City Administrator Jason Quick. “He has raised the visibility of Tullahoma to become well-known throughout the state and nationally, and with key stakeholders in the aerospace, aviation, and retail industries. He has served the city well, and I wish him all the success in his new endeavor.”


During his tenure, Brooks, in partnership with the TAEDC Board, led several impactful projects including tax increment financing for the Summerlin mixed used development, the re-development Tullahoma Villages, CG Model Tek as well as other projects that included the expansion of key industry partnerships, retail recruitment, and the attraction of new business investments into the region. “We are grateful for Winston’s leadership and commitment to the Tullahoma community,” said Board Chair Colonel Beverly Lee (USAF Ret). Chair of the TAEDC Board of Directors. “His work has helped lay the foundation for long-term economic vitality, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.” He was also actively involved with workforce development and the Civic Leadership program with Arnold Air Force Base and represented Tullahoma and the TAEDC at the 71st Secretary of the Air Force National Security Forum at Maxwell AFB in Alabama as a community partner for Arnold Air Force Base.

Brooks is pleased to announce that he will go on to serve as the Director of Economic Development and Entrepreneurship for the City of Chattanooga. “It has been an honor to serve Tullahoma and work alongside so many dedicated public servants, business leaders, Air Force leaders and community partners,” stated Brooks. “I am proud of what we’ve accomplished together and confident in the continued success of Tullahoma and the TAEDC moving forward.”

The TAEDC Board of Directors and the City of Tullahoma are currently engaged in a transition and search plans to ensure continuity of operations, and to identify the next leader who will guide the organization forward. A formal executive search is expected to begin shortly. During the interim period, Chairman Lee, City Administrator Quick, and City Finance Director Sue Wilson will assume the duties of leadership for the TAEDC.
