Wanda Gordon Forster

Wanda Gordon Forster, age 76 of Cowan, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Wanda was born on August 8, 1948, in Keith Springs, to the late Ben Gordon and Nancy Jane (Steele) Stephens. She was a 1967 graduate of Franklin County High School and worked for over thirty years at E & B Carpet Mill. At a young age, she attended Keith Springs Church of Jesus and recently watched World Outreach Church. In her spare time, Wanda enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and watching a good Hallmark movie or scary movie. She treasured quality time spent with family no matter if it was at the beach looking for shark’s teeth, sitting on her daughter’s front porch, or cheering on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren from the stands at their sporting events. Wanda will be remembered by her family and friends as an energetic lady with a very competitive nature, a heart of gold with a desire to feed any friends or family that came through her door. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Mann; children, Sherry Mann and Rocky Mann; grandson, Kyle Killough; siblings, Geraldine Gass, Alma Fowler, Betty Miller, Marie Askins, Ruby Bishop, Shirley Dimos and Benny Stephens. Wanda is survived by her husband of twenty-six years, Ben Forster; daughter, Sharon (Monty) Adams; stepdaughter, Terry Tarpley; stepsons, Jonathan Forster and Chris Brogdon; grandchildren, Jessica (Varonica) Stewart, and Lauren Curtis (Karlee Zimmerman); the joys of her life, great-grandchildren Bella and Jaxon Allen; blessed bonus grandchild, Felicia Shelly; three step grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 2:00pm from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Kelly May officiating.
