Theresa Joy Compton, age 67 of Winchester TN passed away unexpectantly on Thursday May 15, 2025, at her residence.

She was born in Pelham TN on July 3, 1957, to the late Dillon and Geneva (Oliver) Patterson.

She enjoyed working on home renovations, designs, sewing, crafts, gardening and other creative endeavors. She was involved with the Kiwanis International Club and many other community organizations throughout her life.

She cherished the time spent with her family and friends, as well as her fur-babies, several being rescues. Her creative spirit and fun-loving nature will be missed by all who knew and loved her. As a young adult she attended Valley Hill Nazarene church.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband of forty-five years, Dr. Jerry Compton; her brother, Eddie (Susan) Patterson; step daughters, Marchelle C. (Billy) Butler and Valerie (Paul) Yambor; step grandchildren Rachel (Andrei) Dorneanu, Saralyn, Shawn and Bryan Yambor.; and step great grand grandchildren, Theo and Emma Dorneanu and many cherished nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

She will be greatly missed.
