Shirley Jean Cullins, age 87 of Winchester, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A native of Franklin County, she was born on April 25, 1938, to the late Herman and Betty (Grammer) Smith. Shirley spent her professional career working as a LPN at Sunbridge Nursing Home, now known as Elk River Health and Rehabilitation, retiring after many years of service and dedication. Shirley enjoyed going on fishing outings with her family, watching everyone else catch fish, as well as traveling with her husband in their camper. She also enjoyed going out to eat with her family and friends. Her television was usually tuned into the Christian Channel, but she also enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and cheering for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Shirley was a devoted member of Oaklawn Baptist Church and was baptized in 1958. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carmack Cullins Sr; and siblings, Fred Smith, Joe Smith, and Betty Yates. Shirley is survived by her loving children, Beverly Crabtree, Carmack “Mack” (Darlene) Cullins Jr, Kimberly (Terrell) Mann, and Melissa Cullins (Ray Cutrell); eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10-11 am on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Gardner officiating. Interment will be at Green Cemetery with Jess Cullins, Jeff Leonard, Adam Pinegar, Terrell Mann, Ray Cutrell, Cory Brown, Josiah Cullins, and Jansen Brown serving as pallbearers.
