Marty R. Delashmitt

May 28, 1958  -  May 4, 2025

Marty Ray Delashmitt of Belvidere, Tennessee, was born on May 28, 1958, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Franklin Edgar (“Bud”) and Geneva Maye (nee: Ruth) Delashmitt. He departed this world on May 4, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

After graduating in 1976 from Chattanooga Valley High School in Flintstone, Georgia, Marty followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming a lineman. He worked for Dillard Smith Company, Winchester Power Company, and Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) where he later retired after serving 25 years.

In addition to his parents, Marty is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Delashmitt. He is survived by his partner: Robin McCaleb, sister: Rita Price, stepson: Dusty (April) Luttrell; grandchildren: Chad (Kayla) Luttrell, Chase Luttrell, Chesney Luttrell, Chyenna Luttrell, Crockett Goodall, AnnaBella Goodall, Grayson Denson, MollyKate Carey, and Grant Carter; great-grandson, Townes Luttrell; nieces, Genah (Richard) King and Autumn Price, nephew: Lee (Carol) Price, great nieces: Lyndsey, Sarah, and Emily Price, and great nephew: Dewayne Baggett; daughter-in-law, Nikki Luttrell (Johnny Evans); and extended family members, Brandi (Stephen) Goodall, and Rachel Carter.

A memorial gathering will be held from 5-8pm on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
