Loretta Elizabeth McCabe of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed from this life on Monday, October 6, 2025, at her residence in Tullahoma, Tennessee at the age of 95 years surrounded by her loving family.


A native of Homestead, Pennsylvania, she is the daughter of the late Albert and Julia Kriscunas Brazinskas. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Raymond McCabe in 2010, and one daughter, Nancy Brown in 2019.


Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s the Apostle Catholic Church located at 304 West Grizzard Street in Tullahoma with Father Malachy Joseph Napier who is her grandson and of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal of New York officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Garden. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening, October 9, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home and on Friday morning at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service.


Mrs. McCabe graduated from the Western Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as part of the class of 1951. She worked as a Registered Nurse night supervisor for 26 years at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma, Tennessee until her retirement on August 31, 1995. Mrs. McCabe worked the night shift her entire career in order to spend more time with her family which included her husband Joseph and eight children. After her retirement, she continued to work part time for several years at Harton Hospital when they were in need of skilled nursing. As a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, she was an active member of the Ladies Council, she served on the Parish Council, the Charismatic Prayer Group, worked on the Memorial Wall located in the side hallway of the church where they displayed plaques of departed parishioners, she volunteered at the Good Samaritan well into the age of 90 years and also volunteered at St. Paul's Catholic School. Her kindness, care and giving spirit will be forever missed.


Survivors include her children, Patrick McCabe of LaVergne, Tennessee, Terrance McCabe of Phoenix, Arizona, Joey (Rebecca) McCabe of Tullahoma, Tennessee, Cynthia (Bill) Napier of Augusta, Georgia, Carol (Bill) Maxwell of Scottsboro, Alabama, Julie (John) Forte of Pleasant Valley, New York, and Loretta Kerber of Nashville, Tennessee, 22 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.


Mrs. McCabe is also survived by her special family friend, Sharlyn Ramey of Austin, Texas and her long-time best friend and fellow night nurse supervisor, Barbara Prater of Tullahoma, Tennessee.
