Linda Louise Holcomb

October 1, 1940  -  April 28, 2025

Linda Louise Holcomb, age 84 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Highpoint Health.  A native of Franklin County, she was born on October 1, 1940, to the late Jesse “Ed” Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Roberts) Ikard.  Before her retirement, Linda was employed as a secretary at AEDC, CKR and Nissan.  In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, reading, and crocheting, as well as going on trips.  A devoted Christian, she was a member of North Chapel Church and sang in a quartet.   A cancer survivor, Linda cherished the time spent with her beloved family, particularly enjoying watching westerns with her husband, Charles.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, George “Scroggy” Ikard; and an infant daughter.  Linda is survived by her loving husband of forty-three years, Charles Holcomb; step-son, Charles (Amy) Holcomb II; step-daughter, Cindy (Danny) Brown; step-grandchildren, Charles Holcomb III, Maegan (Nick) Hall, David Holcomb, Alivia Holcomb, Hannah Katherine Holcomb, Andy Brown, Chris (Michaela) Brown, Michael Brown, and Becky Brown; step-grandchildren, Henry Brown, Sanford Brown, and Aubree Holcomb. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 2, 2025, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro.
