Leah Hardison Leads Middle School Rebelettes Past CCMS With Huge Day at the Plate

FRANKLIN COUNTY, TN – Leah Hardison delivered a standout performance at the plate, driving in four runs on three hits to lead Franklin County Middle School Varsity to a 10-6 victory over the CCMS Lady Raiders on Thursday at Franklin County High School.

Hardison’s offensive effort included an RBI single in the fourth inning, an RBI double in the fifth, and a two-run double in the sixth that provided crucial insurance runs for the Rebelettes.

CCMS struck first with a run in the opening frame, as Britlyn J. drove in a run following a six-pitch at-bat. The Lady Raiders extended their lead to 2-0 in the second inning after Kalli B. singled down the left field line.

Franklin County responded with authority in the fifth, erupting for five runs. Briley Apicella sparked the rally with a double to center field, followed by consecutive RBI hits from Hardison, Addilyn Carter, Hadley Jolley, and Maya Williams—each driving in a run to give the Rebelettes the lead.

Hardison also earned the win in the circle, allowing three hits and two runs over two innings in relief. She struck out one and walked none. Gracie Watkins started the game, pitching five innings and surrendering seven hits and four runs (two earned), while walking three.

The Rebelettes totaled 12 hits on the day, with Carter, Apicella, and Jolley each recording multiple hits. Emilie Partin added pressure on the bases, stealing three bags. The defense also contributed with a key double play.

Despite the loss, the Lady Raiders collected 10 hits and showcased aggressive baserunning, tallying 11 stolen bases. Izzy H. led the offense with two RBIs, while Maggie B., J., and Kayda F. each recorded two hits.

With the win, Franklin County Middle School Varsity continues to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
