JEFF BISHOP, age 67, of Huntland, Tenn., departed this life suddenly at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Ala. Mr. Bishop was born in Huntland, Tenn. to the late James Orville Bishop and Rowena Brewer Bishop on November 5, 1957. Mr. Bishop was a 1975 graduate of Huntland High School. He retired from Amana/Goodman as a Group Leader/Press Operator after 45 years of service. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, gardening, "floating the river" and camping. He was an avid women's softball and women's basketball fan. He was known for coaching little league baseball at Huntland for more than 20 years, most of those were coaching the Rooster's. As a coach his players and fans either loved him for it or hated him. Mr. Bishop's favorite times were those he spent with his family and friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend that will be dearly missed by all.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bishop was preceded in death by his sister, Dot Sullenger and his beloved dog, Micah. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kelly Bishop, sons: Josh Bishop and wife, Tonya of Kelso, Cody Bishop and wife, Kelsey of Winchester, daughter, Jamie Kelsey and husband, Mike of Fayetteville. Grandchildren; Trae Bynum, Trent Kelsey, Katelyn Bishop, Sarah Kelsey, Tyler Bishop, Sydney Bishop, Sophia Brassfield and Kaden Brassfield. Sisters: Brenda Faye Burton and Cindy Latham both of Belvidere. Several Nieces and Nephews. His two beloved pets Bear and Lady. He will be greatly missed by his two best friends, Paul Armstrong and nephew, Gregg Sullenger.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Franklin County Animal Harbor, P.O. Box 187, Winchester, TN 37398.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
