George Bradley Whitmire, age 44 of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Winchester on June 22, 1981. He was most recently employed as a concrete finisher in the residential construction industry. An avid outdoorsman, he was at peace in the mountains riding in the Jeep or side-by-side, as well as deer hunting. Brad was a hardworking provider, as well as a loving and caring husband, father, son, and grandfather. His wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Wallace Sweeton; and grandparents, George and Sue Woods, Ray Watson, George and Bertie Whitmire. Brad is survived by his loving wife of fifteen years, Kisha Sweeton Whitmire; children, Alli (John) Bailey, Calleigh (Cody) Garner, Dylan (Skye) Whitmire, Zack Garner, and Carson Ray Whitmire; grandchildren, Oliver, Ellie, Mattie, Bryleigh, Maddox, and Lakelynn; mother and father, Denise and David Watson; parent, Tim Whitmire; brother, Jermey (Katie Harrington) Watson; mother-in-law, Melissa Sweeton; and four-legged best friend, Traveler. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Jonathan Blazer officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Zack Garner, Jermey Watson, Daulton Mahaffey, Dylan Whitmire, Joey Pickett, Jamie Stephens, Joe Pless, and Casey Jones serving as pallbearers and Dewayne Sims as honorary pallbearer.
