Franklin County Tracksters stacks 63 Top Finishes in Home Meet




The Franklin County High School boys and girls track and field teams showed out at their home meet on Saturday, stacking up 63 top-three finishes across the board. Out of the 36 events on the schedule, FCHS athletes took home first place in 29 of them.

In the team standings, the girls dominated—racking up 333 points to finish first out of six teams. Coffee County came in a distant second with 102 points. The boys followed suit, finishing first out of five teams with 330.5 points, once again outpacing Coffee County, who totaled 183.5.

Here’s a breakdown of Franklin County’s first-place finishes:

Girls Winners:

  • Na’Kayjah Holman — 100m (13.4) & 200m (27.47)

  • Payton Dearing — 400m (1:04.87)

  • Skylar Roberts — 800m (3:02)

  • Billie Rose Johnson — 1600m (6:32.62) & 3200m (14:25.23)

  • Lily Heath — 100m hurdles (18.08) & 300m hurdles (52.07)

  • 4x200m Relay (Illyanna Yates, La’Karis Brown, Shelby Walker, Tevaeh Melton) — 1:58.11

  • 4x800m Relay (Skylar Roberts, Elizabeth Tapp, Addison Taylor, Jada Hand) — 13:05.83

  • Briley Taylor — High jump (5'8")

  • Shelby Walker — Pole vault (6')

  • Na’Kayjah Holman — Long jump (15'4")

  • Lily Heath — Triple jump (32'4")

  • Marisol Ibarra — Shot put (26'11") & Discus (84')

Boys Winners:

  • Monte Johnson — 200m (23.79)

  • Coastlon Ringer — 400m (54.09)

  • Josh Smith — 800m (2:10.96)

  • Jayden Smith — 1600m (4:40.82) & 3200m (11:03.14)

  • Luke Kelleher — 110m hurdles (17.95) & 300m hurdles (44.72)

  • 4x400m Relay (Jayden Smith, Parker Hill, Josh Smith, Coastlon Ringer) — 4:06.23

  • 4x800m Relay (Alex Domincio, Garrett Kuhar, Jacob Ball, Zach Morris) — 11:03.57

  • Brandon Walker — High jump (6'4") & Triple jump (39'3.5")

  • CJ Francis — Shot put (40'4.25") & Discus (129'10")

Second-place highlights included:

  • Amarah Williams (200m), Skylar Roberts (1600m), Catherine Money (3200m), and strong showings from Lily Heath, Shelby Walker, and Jena Hand in hurdles.

  • Girls relays had solid finishes, including 2nd in the 4x400m (Yates, Taylor, Pendergraff, Evans).

  • La’Karis Brown (high jump), Briley Taylor (long jump), and Jena Hand (triple jump) also took runner-up spots.

  • For the boys, Tony Perales (200m), Alex Domincio (800m), and Josh Smith (3200m) finished strong.

  • Chase Trigg (110m hurdles), and the boys' 4x100m and 4x400m relays grabbed 2nd.

  • Notable field finishes included Tyson Kennerly (pole vault), Austin Heath (long jump), and Monte Johnson (triple jump).

Third-place finishers:

  • Amarah Williams (100m), Briley Taylor (400m), Addison Taylor (800m), Catherine Money (1600m), and Payton Dearing (100m hurdles).

  • More podium finishes came in the relays and field events, with standout efforts from Garrett Kuhar, Austin Heath, Randel Taylor, William Knox, and Tyson Kennerly.

Next up for the Rebelettes and Rebels was yesterday's sub-sectional meet at home, however the status of that meet or results are not available at the time of writing.
