Franklin County Rebels Falls to Marshall County in Tough Road Loss

LEWISBURG, TN – The Franklin County Rebels struggled to keep pace with a surging Marshall County squad Tuesday night, falling 84-44 in district play.

The Rebels held their own early, trailing by just three points at the end of the first quarter, 14-11. They continued to battle through the second period, heading into halftime down 30-23. However, Marshall County took control in the second half, outscoring Franklin County 21-10 in the third quarter to build a 51-33 lead. A dominant fourth quarter by the Tigers sealed the Rebels' fate, as they were outscored 33-11 down the stretch.

Brandon Walker led Franklin County with 16 points, while Memphis Foster added 10. Tyson Kennerly contributed nine points, Monte Johnson had four, and Dujuan Chambers, Brody Goff, and Brayden Arnold each finished with two. William Forsythe added a point from the free-throw line.

With the loss, Franklin County looks to regroup as they prepare for their next matchup. The Rebels will return to the court Friday night, aiming to bounce back in front of their home crowd. They move to 3-18 on the season and 1-4 in District Play. They will next play at home Friday Night against Central Magnet School.
