The Franklin County Rebelettes held off a late rally from Marshall County to walk away with a hard-fought 5-4 victory on Thursday.

Franklin County came out strong in the top of the first, with Addison Partin driving in a run on a single, followed by a two-RBI double from Alex Hand to make it 3-0 early. They extended the lead to five by the fifth inning, giving themselves just enough cushion to survive a Tigerette comeback.

Victoria Nelson got the start in the circle for Franklin County, tossing six solid innings. She allowed six hits and four runs—three of them earned—while striking out five and walking two. Dalayna Marshall came in to close, throwing a shutout seventh inning with one strikeout and no walks.

Madi Morris had a big day at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 to lead the offense. Partin and Hand each added an RBI, and Nelson helped her own cause with two hits. Partin also snagged two stolen bases, and the defense turned a key double play to help preserve the lead.

For Marshall County, Stewart led the charge with a 2-for-4 outing and drove in two runs. Perryman also notched two hits, and Taylor swiped three bases as the Tigerettes racked up four total steals.

The Rebelettes now look ahead to a Monday matchup on the road against Warren County at 5:30 PM. Hear that game on WCDT+ with Keaton Solomon and Brett Green by downloading the App on IOS or go to wcdtradio.com and click Listen Now then WCDT+.
