Era Louise Reynolds, age 77 of Decherd, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Highpoint Health Medical Center. She was born in Nashville on January 31, 1948, to the late Thomas R. and Etta L. (Bennett) Castleman. Before her retirement, Era Louise had worked as a legal secretary and a draftsman at AEDC. After retirement, she became a caregiver. Her kind and caring nature enabled her to care for her husband and also older animals that she would rescue and care for until they went over the rainbow bridge. She enjoyed University of Tennessee Athletics, cheering for every sport, gardening, sewing, and going to the beach. Always full of energy and the life of the party, Era Louise and her sisters and best friends created their own YaYa group and had so much fun together. But most of all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved family. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Tullahoma where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Castleman. Era Louise is survived by her loving husband of forty-three years, Phil Reynolds; children, John (Sarah) Bennett Jordan Jr, and Dawn (Mike) Smelcer; grandchildren, Trenton Trezise, John (Morgan) Bennett Jordan III, Jakob Wayne Jordan, and Lillian Belle Jordan; and siblings, William (Guenlen) Castleman, Thomas Castleman, Ina Gail (Dale Fagg) Castleman, and Sally Annette (Brian) Edinger.
