David M Crampton

July 17, 1946  -  April 8, 2025

July 17, 1943 - May 13, 2025

Mr. David M. Crampton of Winchester passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at the age of 81.

David is survived by his wife, Marilyn, son, Matthew of Michigan and daughter, Malinda Williams of Winchester. He was preceded in death by son, Michael, child of his first wife, Linda Crampton (deceased). David had five grandchildren, Katelyn Williams - 28, Richard Crampton - 22 and Sadie Crampton - 12 all of Michigan. Twins, Haylee and Kaylee Jacobs - 12 of Winchester. He had a brother and sister living in PA and many nieces and nephews.

David retired from Kellogg Company in Battle Creek, Michigan after 25 years as a journeyman machinist in the research department. He and Marilyn traveled full time for the next 7years before settling in Edinburg, TX.  In 2019, they moved to Winchester.

His favorite hobbies include motorcycling, boating, snowmobiling, ice fishing as well as summer fishing. David was an avid pool player, playing on leagues both in MI and TX. His choice of a car was a Corvette, and he was very active in the Rio Grande Valley Corvette Club.

David loved to include his kids and grandkids in his hobbies.  He would bundle up the kids and pull them behind his snowmobile with a sleigh out onto the ice for a day of fishing. He fit to size pool sticks and take them to the pool hall as they grew up.

David and Marilyn loved to invite friends and family to parties at their home in MI. The 4th of July was always well attended (100 plus for some years) as everyone brought a passing dish and they roasted a pig. Halloween parties with hayrides and bands to dance to were something to look forward to every year.

David lived a full and happy life with his loving wife, Marilyn (56 years) and his family. His wish was to live long enough to see his youngest 3 granddaughters graduate high school.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, children and grandchildren. We love you.

Per his request, he will be cremated.

Please keep the family of Mr. David M. Crampton in your thoughts and prayers.
