Brandy Lynn Johnson Ray

Brandy Lynn Ray, age 56 of Estill Springs, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville. Brandy was born on October 30, 1968, in Lansing, Illinois, to the late Keith and Linda Carol (Guthrie) Johnson. She previously worked for Platinum Mortgage for eighteen years and currently worked for the Federal Government. In her spare time, she enjoyed singing Karaoke and spending time with family and friends. Brandy will be remembered by her family and friends as a lady with a big heart. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Bryan Steele and father to her children, Barry Steele. Brandy is survived by her daughter, Taylor Steele; granddaughter, Emily Finney; sister, Angela (Paul) Bomba; niece, Amelia Bomba; nephews, Paul Bomba, Sam Bomba, and Andrew Bomba; and best friend, Patti Beavers. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
