Thomas Neal Lacy

Thomas Neal Lacy, age 87 of Winchester, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Highpoint Health Medical Center. A native of Franklin County, he was born on August 19, 1937, to the late Oscar and Beulah B. (Dennison) Lacy. Tom proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He graduated from Tennessee Tech and worked as a mechanical engineer at AEDC, retiring after a long career. He was a private pilot and an avid sportsman, sharing his love of sports with his daughters. He enjoyed golfing with his friends and family at Franklin County Country Club, as well as hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending the winters with his wife in Florida as well as watching westerns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Von Holland Lacy; and siblings, Nola Counts, Joe Lacy, and Lena Youngerman. Tom is survived by his loving daughters, Lisa Lacy and Leah Lacy (Mark) Esper; grandchildren, Luke Esper, Jack Esper, and Kate Esper; niece, Rita Isbell; best friends, Andy Henshaw and Horace Mayes; and bonus daughter, Diane Gipson. No formal services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to FCHS Golf Team.
