Kenny Dale Burton age 68 of Tunnel Hill, Georgia passed from this life on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Lynchburg Funeral Home in Lynchburg, Tennessee with Sam O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Lynchburg Cemetery. Friends may visit on Saturday at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Miracle League of Whitfield County, Georgia. The mailing address for donations is as follows:

Born on October 20, 1956, in Winchester, Tennessee, he is the son of the late Billy and Dorothy Burton. He grew up in Charity, Tennessee on Polecat Hollow Road working in the hayfields, tobacco and chicken barns. Running up and down the west fork of Mulberry Creek and playing football in the front yard after church every Sunday.


Kenny attended Moore County High School. He worked various construction jobs. He operated a backhoe and worked for several companies associated with telephone services. At the age of 67, he went on to start his own business, Kenny B Underground, and he was very proud of this accomplishment.


He loved holidays and family gatherings, always proud of his chocolate pies, He enjoyed Fish Frys and cooking for a crowd. He loved taking his grandsons fishing and he also loved his dogs, Lexie and Zoey.


Later in life, he enjoyed playing softball, as well as coaching softball and baseball. He also enjoyed volunteering with the Miracle League of Whitfield County, Georgia. GO VOLS!


His survivors include his wife of 12 years, Ginger Burton of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, daughters, Sabrina (Amanda) Burton of Mankato, Minnesota, Christy (Paul) Anderson of Lynchburg, Tennessee, brothers, Robert Burton of Lynchburg, Tennessee, Mike Burton of Tullahoma, Tennessee, sister, Lynda (John Holden) Beaty of Tullahoma, Tennessee, sister in law, Debbie Burton of Lynchburg, Tennessee, grandchildren, Chance (Kayce Sullivan) Tharp of Lynchburg, Tennessee and Austin (Katie Schneur) Anderson of Tullahoma, Tennessee.


Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Frank Burton and David Burton, sister, Rita Burton and one sister-in-law, Wanda Burton.
