Judy A Burrus

Judy A. Burrus, age 77, of Winchester, Tennessee, passed away on November 12, 2025, at Elk River Nursing Center. She was born on November 6, 1948, in Watertown, New York, to the late Leon Harland and Gertrude Mary Nichols Lanham. Judy was a talented artist who found great joy in painting and creating beautiful arts and crafts. She had a creative spirit and a love for life that shone through her work. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling across the United States, making countless memories together along the way. She worked as an accountant and bookkeeper for her husband’s construction company, Schweitzer Construction, where she dedicated herself with care and precision. Judy will be remembered as a loving and kind woman who would give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need. Her generous heart and warm smile touched all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Schweitzer. She is survived by her loving children, Shelly Charlier (Darin) and Travis (Laurie) Schweitzer; grandchildren, Michael Charlier, Caitlyn Charlier, Sebastian Schweitzer, and Colton Schweitzer; great grandchild, Camden Charlier; brothers, David Lanham and Michael McDonald. It was Judy’s wish to be cremated, and no formal services will be held.
