Jimmy Lynn Gibson

June 21, 1952 - November 8, 2025

Mr. Jimmy Lynn Gibson, age 73 of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025.

Jimmy was born on June 21, 1952, in Fayetteville, Tennessee to the late Dorothy Marie Shields Gibson and James Frank Gibson.

Jimmy was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County Tennessee and a 1970 graduate of Flintville High School. He was an avid sports fan and particularly enjoyed NASCAR racing and the University of Tennessee Football.

Over his life he worked various jobs including construction, property appraiser, and car salesman. In his later years he enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog, Leeloo.

Jimmy will be remembered by his family for his quick wit and storytelling at family gatherings. He could take any story and make it interesting and funny.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 28 years Betty Carol Poole, bonus son, Jeremy (Denise) Poole of Columbia, Tennessee, bonus grandchildren Zoe and Gabe, brother Jackie (Claudette) Gibson of Fayetteville, nephew Brian Gibson, and niece Hayley Steely.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 22, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the First National Bank Community room in Park City, Tennessee.
