Ms. Janie Johnson, age 83, of Winchester, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, at The Waters of Winchester. She was born on November 20, 1941, to the late Jack and Queenie (Wiseman) Johnson. Janie was a lifelong homemaker who devoted her life to raising her son, nieces, and nephews. She took great pride in caring for her family and found joy in being a loving mother and grandmother. She had a nurturing heart and a gentle spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She enjoyed spending her days watching westerns and her favorite soap operas, always keeping up with the latest storylines. Janie was vibrant, loving, and deeply caring, a woman whose kindness and warmth brought comfort and laughter to those around her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Eva Hendon, Queenie Duncan, Mildred Daffin, Suzie Childress, Jim Johnson, Jesse Johnson, and Thomas Johnson. She is survived by her loving son, Carlos (Darby) Johnson of Winchester, TN; grandchildren, Hayley Corn of Murfreesboro, TN, and Holly Corn of Cookeville, TN; great-grandchild, Raiden Lewis of Murfreesboro, TN; and siblings, Anna Eady of Lansing, MI, and Louise Cannon of Fayetteville, TN; several nieces, nephews, and extended family. In honoring her wishes, Ms. Johnson will be cremated, and no formal services will be held. Her family and friends will remember her privately and cherish the beautiful memories she leaves behind.
