James Arthur Steele

James Arthur Steele, age 64 of Tullahoma, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Tr-Star-Southern Hills Medical Center. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Winchester on March 8, 1961, to the late James Virgil and Lue Bell (Bryant) Steele. Before his retirement, he had been a long-time employee of Badcock Furniture. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and watching westerns. But most of all, James cherished the time spent with his beloved family. His kind heart and giving nature was evident as he would help anyone in need. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister, Doral Avans. He is survived by his brothers, Joe Steele, Johnny Steele, and Leonard Steele; sister, Jeanette Steele; half-brothers, Jeremy Steele and John Steele; two nephews; four nieces; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and dear friend and loving caregiver, Missie Miller. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 11:00am at Steele Cemetery in Belvidere.
