Gary Arliss Ashey of Cowan, Tennessee passed from this life on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at his residence at the age of 69 years. The family has chosen cremation, and no services are being planned at this time.

A native of Franklin County, Tennessee, he is the son of the late Lloyd and Minnie Gifford Ashley. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ted, Dan and James Harvey Ashley and sisters, Mary Lee Petty, Lou Jean Clark and Elaine Janey.

Gary worked in construction and hung sheet rock for many years. His survivors include his wife of 27 years, Evelyn Marie Ashley of Cowan, Tennessee, son, Dakota Claridy of Estill Springs, Tennessee, sisters, Sue Nagel of Lebanon, Tennessee, Doris Gill of Tullahoma, Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews.
